How to book the test

Book online through CITB, or by phone on 0344 994 4488. You pay £23.50 when you book.

Three ways to book

• Online: from CITB's booking page, pick your version and a Pearson Professional Centre near you.
• By phone: 0344 994 4488 (8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 12pm on Saturday). Welsh line: 0344 994 4490.
• For a team: four or more candidates use CITB's group booking system. For 16 or more, a mobile testing unit can come to your site. See for employers.

Have these ready

• Your personal email address and full UK postal address.
• Which version you need (check your card).
• Your CITB registration number, if you've sat the test or held a CSCS, CPCS or CISRS card before.
• A debit or credit card, or a CITB voucher.
• Any support you need, such as a translator, a British Sign Language interpreter or help with reading. Ask for it when you book.

Where you sit it

In person only, at a Pearson Professional Centre or an approved test centre. There is no online test from home. Pick a centre you can reach early: you need to arrive 15 minutes before your start time.

Changing your booking

You can move or cancel with at least 72 hours' notice. Online is free; by phone costs a fee. Inside 72 hours you lose the fee. See test costs.
